It is now possible to print participants names on race numbers.  This is a great way to encourage pre-registration for your event.  When placing an order for personalized bibs, you will be asked to send an Excel spreadsheet with the number sequence and names for your order.  When sending Excel files to personalize race numbers, there are a few things that file must include:

1. The first column of the Excel file must contain your entire number sequence. If there are numerals that are missing, they will NOT print. If numerals are transposed, that is how they will print. For example if your order states you wish your numeral sequence to be 1-700, then in your Excel file the first cell, cell A1, should be 1 and in cell A700 should be 700 and all cells in between should be filled in appropriately.  If you want bibs printed with no numerals then each cell with a <SPACE> instead of a number will print a bib without a numeral.

One fast way to do this is to put the numeral 1 in cell A1 and then select EDIT -> FILL -> SERIES. In the window that opens up select COLUMNS in the "Series In" section and LINEAR in the "Type" section. The "Step value:" should be 1 and "Stop Value" should be the last number in your sequence. Then select OK. That should completely fill in your number sequence in the Column A.

2. If you are placing more than one personalized event bib order at one time then make sure you do a separate Excel file for each order and indicate in the file name which event that file is for.

3. Names should be in the same ROW as the numerals they are to be associated with/printed on. For example. In cell A1 is numeral 1 so in cell B2 should be the name that you want printed on the #1 bib. If there is no name for any particular number then leave the cell in column B blank.  If you want us to print other information on the #1 bib (eg. address, age, sex, t-shirt size) then make sure all that corresponding information for the #1 bib is in the same ROW and each bit of information has it's own COLUMN.

3. Names can be printed in a larger font size if they are in all caps.  This is due to lower case letters like g, j, p,and y taking up extra room. The case that is in your Excel file is the case that we print on the bibs and we can print what ever you like.

Some customers have asked how they can take the names that they have (usually mixed case) and make them all upper case. The following is how to do that:  in your Excel file, so far you have your numerals in column A and your names in column B, to make names in all caps you will be working in column C. Select cell C1 by clicking on the cell then in the formula bar at the top, type this formula =upper(b1) and press ENTER. That should create an all caps version of the name from column B in column C. With the cell C1 selected click and drag the bottom right corner of that cell down until you get to the end of your numeral sequence. That should copy the formula all the way down the column and create a column with all the names from column B in all caps in column C. Leave column B the way it is or you can hide it by right clicking on the column B header and selecting Hide. DO NOT delete column B as that will delete all of your names in both column B and C.

Here is a small sample to give you a visual.
